Our machinery is built for precision, and our processes make sure it stays that way. Every part that leaves our factory goes through the same rigorous checks, whether it’s a prototype or the ten-thousandth piece off the line. ISO 9001 isn’t a certificate on the wall for us. It means CAQ-driven inspection and watertight documentation, so every batch holds the same standard as the very first sample.

Where Our Parts Work Every Day

Building services components have to perform reliably for decades, often under fluctuating pressures, temperatures and media. We know these demands inside out, and we manufacture to match them.

Our Application Range

Ventilation damper actuators

Shafts, axles, couplings and gearbox components for ventilation damper drives

Zone Valves & Control Valves

Valve bodies and spindles that hold their dimensions over years of continuous service.

Valves, Sensors & Flow Components

Corrosion-resistant bushings, stainless steel components and flow regulators for demanding fluid environments.

Temperature, Humidity and CO₂

Precision turned parts in stainless steel or aluminium for sensors designed for continuous, maintenance-free operation.

Fire Damper Actuators

Robust components in hardened free-cutting steel or stainless steel, lead-free as standard.

Pinion Gears, Shafts & Bushings

Precision turned parts across a broad range of drive and motion applications

What building services componets demand

Building services components must resist corrosion, hold their dimensions and remain available throughout long service lives. In HVAC applications especially, tight tolerances, material stability and consistent batch-to-batch quality are non-negotiable.

Take a lead-free hardened free-cutting steel pinion for an actuator: it needs to transmit force just as reliably on day 3,000 as it did on day one, under humidity, heat and the occasional knock. That only happens with stable processes, the right materials and quality control that never lets up.

Precision Manufacturing. Made in Switzerland.

Made in Switzerland is more than a label for us. It means the highest technical standards, short decision-making routes and the kind of close, honest working relationship that our customers come back to year after year.

Design for Manufacture — From the Very Start

Get us involved early and we can optimise tolerances, material choices and design details so your part is both technically sound and cost-effective to produce in volume. It saves iterations on both sides.

Consistent Quality Across Every Batch

In building services, the first-off sample is just the beginning. What matters is repeatability over years of production. Our CAQ-driven processes and full batch traceability give you that confidence.

Fast Response Times & Straightforward Communication

Our own raw material stock means we can react quickly when schedules or volumes change without the usual lead-time headaches.

A Single Point of Contact for Everything

Turning, surface finishing, assembly, quality documentation, we coordinate it all so you don’t have to.

We Measure What We Promise

Quality isn’t a final inspection, it runs through everything we do. Every batch, every component and every process follows clearly defined control steps. From first prototype to full series production, you can count on results that don’t vary.

Our measurement capabilities span tactile and optical methods, contour measurement and high-precision 3D coordinate metrology. Surface finish, geometry and positional tolerances are all checked at defined intervals under real production conditions and every step is monitored using statistical process control

What Buyers and Engineers Typically Want to Know (FAQ)

Häni + Co. AG is a Swiss precision turned parts manufacturer based in Arch, in the canton of Bern. Founded in 1939, the family business has been producing close-tolerance CNC turned components for over 80 years. We supply bespoke precision parts to industries including building services, medical technology, sensors and instrumentation, robotics, connector technology and automotive. With over 500 tonnes of raw material held in our own warehouse, a modern machine park and an ISO 9001-certified quality management system, we serve customers across Switzerland and throughout Europe. Our promise is simple: Swiss precision, from the first prototype to full-volume production.

The full range: valve bodies, fittings and sealing seats for heating systems and heat pumps; shafts, sleeves and damper linkages for ventilation and air conditioning; fitting bodies and flow components for plumbing and sanitary systems; and mechanical housings for building automation and HVAC drive systems. Prototype to full series — all made in Switzerland.

CNC Swiss-type turning, CNC short turning and multi-spindle turning, the right process chosen on the basis of geometry, volume and unit economics. We complement this with centreless grinding, honing, vibratory finishing and further surface operations. Assembly and sub-assembly are handled straight after machining, so you receive finished components ready to go.

We mainly use lead-free hardened free-cutting steels and stainless steels. Aluminium is a good fit for lightweight system components, and technical plastics come into play for more specific requirements. If your application calls for something unusual, our materials expertise extends well beyond the standard range.

Hundredths and thousandths of a millimetre are routine for us. What’s achievable depends on the design, the material and the application, something we’ll discuss with you upfront so you know exactly what’s technically sensible and economically viable.

Yes, provided the intention is to scale to medium or larger volumes. Where a project is purely about prototypes or a very limited run, we’ll connect your development team with the right partner. Otherwise, we follow projects all the way from first drawings through pre-production samples to full series manufacturing. We’re at our most useful when we’re involved early.

In-house we carry out centreless grinding, honing, roller burnishing, vibratory finishing and gear hobbing. For processes outside that scope, we manage the full subcontract coordination, including quality control, so everything still comes back to you through a single point of contact.

Our processes are ISO 9001 certified and backed by computer-aided quality assurance. Every series runs to defined, validated parameters with full documentation. Statistical process control, 3D metrology and complete batch traceability mean that delivery 500 is held to exactly the same standard as delivery 1. Zero defects isn’t a marketing phrase, it’s what we aim for on every order.

We’d actively encourage it. As a manufacturing partner at the design stage, we can assess tolerances for feasibility, recommend the right material and optimise geometry for cost-effective series production. The result is a better part with fewer revision loops, which saves time and budget for everyone.

Thanks to our own raw material held in our own warehouse, we can respond quickly when volumes or delivery schedules need to change. We offer vendor-managed inventory, safety stock programmes and flexible batch-size adjustments. Short decision chains mean you get answers fast — not a call centre.

With complete drawings, we normally come back within three to five working days. We’re a Swiss family business with short internal chains, decisions get made quickly and you’ll always speak to someone who knows the project.
